ROOFING SLATE WORKS in conjunction with Rathscheck Schiefer is pleased to offer a wide range of vertical slate cladding. In a simple format for houses and small dwelling units, slate may be laid in the traditional manner as used on Australian roofs. An example is a country retreat near Point Lonsdale, Victoria.

A second format using overlapping slates of varying sizes can be seen in European building facades.

The clean minimalist appearance can be achieved with small format slides flush mounted on a curtain wall.

The most innovative use of slate developed by Rathscheck Schaefer is to use naturally split pieces as large as 900 x 600 x 10mm with minimal joints and hidden fixings to provide lightweight natural stone cladding of minimal thickness to multi-storey building facades.
